Tournament Information

Welcome all to the 2023 NZ Beach Handball Championships. Format this year will be slightly different as we will be only playing mixed as a fun pick up knock out tournament of the Friday evening so we can ensure that our teams can focus on producing quality beach handball in the men’s and women’s division throughout the weekend. More details will be delivered shortly but will be run very similarly to last years event.

Mixed Social Information

We are going to run a double elimination bracket with drawn teams This starts at 6pm sharp so Players are expected to be there at 5:45pm. The schedule, teams and draw are shown below.

What a great start to the National Beach Handball Championship for 2023, with nearly thirty players out on the sand we kicked off the Championship with a double elimination Mixed Tournament. There were some excellent skills on display from both our old hands and some great new talent.

The first round of games ended with clear victors but then every game following this ended in penalties. The Toru team after getting beaten in the first game fought through the loser’s bracket and won 3 penalty shootouts in a row to take home the Crown.
