EOI for senior men’s high performance training squad
The NZ Handball Federation High Performance programme would like all male players who think they have the ability and motivation to be considered for inclusion in the upcoming NZ Senior Men's training squads to complete the following Expression of Interest form NZ Senior Men's EOI.
Please note:
The intention of this squad is to provide an environment for players who want to take handball seriously and receive additional coaching, along with more opportunities to play at a higher level, with the ultimate goal of being selected to represent New Zealand in international competitions. Submission of this form does not guarantee your inclusion in the squad. The purpose of this form is to make yourself known to the Coaching and Management Team, who will then invite players after a review.
The coach intends to have a wider pool of players willing to undertake the physical training program, in addition to regular weekly handball specific training, and attendance at training camps. From this pool of players, selections will be made for specific events, such as Asian Championships, or Trans-Tasman matches. Players not selected for these specific events, are invited to continue training beyond the events and work towards selection in the future.
This EOI is not to make yourself available for a specific event but is to express your interest in being part of a longer-term development squad aimed at achieving greater levels of international success. If you are unable to commit in the short term (i.e. due to financial situation, or studies, or work commitments, etc.), but do have longer term aspirations to represent NZ in handball, please complete this EOI.
Application is open to all male NZ Citizens and NZ Residents who are on a pathway to NZ Citizenship.
