Strategic Partnerships

Goethe-Institut

New Zealand Handball Federation is delighted to announce the signing of a strategic partnership agreement with the Goethe-Institut. We have been working with the Goethe-Institut for several months now with the roll-out of Das Kiwi Handball Projekt in Schools last year, co-ordinated by our very own Secretary-General Frank Stoltenberg.

The Goethe-Institut is the Federal Republic of Germany’s cultural institute, active worldwide. It promotes the study of German and encourage international cultural exchange. The Goethe-Institut has been active in New Zealand since 1980. It offers cultural events and German language courses in Auckland, Wellington and online.

With handball originating in Germany more than 100 years ago, an alliance between NZHF and the Goethe-Institut is a perfect fit, and we look forward to building on the relationship for the mutual benefit of both organisations.

Our Supporters

TAB New Zealand

The New Zealand Handball Federation, as a recognised member of Sport New Zealand, is fortunate to have the support of TAB funding. This funding allows us to fund regional, national and international initiatives that help develop and grow New Zealand Handball.

Having the support of global brands like Salming and ICQP behind us is huge. New Zealand Handball is an amateur sport with a professional mindset. Having our players turning out in top quality Salming NZ kit is a great look for us on the international stage. That professional look is only possible thanks to a great package Sportify NZ put together for us and generous funding support from our longstanding sponsor International Centre for Quality Pioneers.

Many tournaments and initiatives for New Zealand Handball would not be possible without the generosity of grant organisations willing to invest in New Zealand Handball. We want to thank all who have shown us support, particularly Wellington City Council for their continued support of the New Zealand Club Championships through the Sports Event Partnership Fund.

ICQP

ICQP have been in the New Zealand market since January, 2017. We help individuals improve their skills and aid organisations achieve accreditation and organisational excellence.

SalminG

Salming Sports is a shoe, equipment and apparel company that originated in Sweden in 1991 in partnership with Swedish Ice Hockey legend Borje Salming. From a small start in Sweden to all over Europe and then all over the world, Salming has become the trademark for quality in over 80 countries.

The brand arrived in New Zealand in 2013 and Salming Sports NZ was formed in 2015. Making their mark early in squash and handball, Salming grew into the running community all over the country. Partnering with good athletes, events and organisations such as Athletics New Zealand, Handball New Zealand and Volleyball New Zealand along with many squash clubs and running events around the country, Salming is growing fast and strong.
