Wellington

Wellington hosts the biggest Handball communities in New Zealand.

The Regional body (Wellington Handball Federation) was established in 2007 and initiated the first Regional Handball league in New Zealand which started as well in 2007.
Wellington Handball is running four competitive leagues throughout the year:

Wellington School league for Seniors (Year 11-13) – boys and girls
=> Between February and April (School term 1) Wellington Handball runs a  school competition

Wellington league – men and women
=> Between April and July Wellington Handball runs a club competition for senior players (16 years and older)

Wellington beginners league – men and women
=> Between August and October Wellington Handball runs a beginners competition for senior players (14 years and older)

Wellington School league for Juniors (Year 9-10) – boys and girls
=> Between October and December (School term 4) Wellington Handball runs a  school competition

All games are held at the ASB Sports Stadium in Kilbirnie.
